getting an mr1, don't wanna throw 80 bucks on a tri-rail. Anyway to attach a bipod without the tri-rail or fu#king up my rifle?

If you're able to pick up the tri-rail for $80.00 you better do it. That's a great price and the part is extremely rare/hard to get. And no, there is no other way to attach a bipod without the rail or potentially buggering up the rifle.

Tango Down Bipod available through Wolverine Supplies looks pretty interesting. I'm using a Versa-Pod but I'm thinking of trying out the Tango Down. You could always just go Harris with an adapter, quality unit/stable/popular, but not my favorite. I'm just not crazy about all the mechanical parts hanging out everywhere. There's also the VLTOR units (based on the Tango Down) but I don't know of any way to get them in Canada.

I ordered my tri-rail today, harris bipod with a fab defense adapter is prob gonna be the way i go.

PRO MAG makes an adapter they call "sling swivel stud to picatinny rail adapter with palm rest". should work for you. part # PM220. i paid 45 bucks on ebay

VanIsler, I will for sure, gonna be my Coyote rig/ range day rifle when she is all put together.
I live in Halifax , but I work on a ship tied up in Cowichan bay now.

Ok just picked up a tri rail on the EE, so I won't have to wait 8 weeks to put it all together, should have it all fitted and sighted in a week after I get home.
Pretty pumped, I'll throw up a pic.
So far I have,
Benelli MR1
tri-rail
Nikon Coyote special scope 3x-9x
winter camo tape wrap
Just need to pick up some scope mounts a bi-pod and an adapter.
Hopefully she turns out to be a good coyote rifle, if I can shoot anything like that Caramel fellow it will be.
