Interammo might have some non res brs99, or frontier, you can get the brs in non restricted look around, at the price point of a cx4 with the non factory non res barrel, you are probably looking at more money for the berretta unless you have beretta pistols to match. And the brs99 is one very capable sub.

I went from XCR ...Hated it broke on me couple times (early model though) switched to Swiss arms which I loved but was good never great because a) size and weight b) optic choice... started with a aim point was good but rifle with a 20inch bbl needs some glass!!! Scopes with built in bases such as elcan and acog don't work unless you're tiny because of eye relief or lack thereof I should say. You can make it work but it's not realistic or comfortable ok so let’s try a scope errrrr doesn't work why because you need to clear that rear sight now IF you can find rings tall enough you won’t have a good cheek weld and you’ll need a check riser now on the stock now you’re sitting inches high plus most likely you will need a riser the whole gun ends up looking like a Lego block that weighs WAY TOOOO much. Yea I know were all 6'6 300 pounds on the internet right? Anyone in the Military or persons who have carried a rifle for a living will tell you OUNCES matter; no matter Army or hunting you're going to have a lot more gear to carry then just a Rifle. That brings me to my Tavor.... JUST F********* PERFECT ....save yourself a ####load of time and money bud. Try watching Nutnfancy review of the rifle on YouTube. AND MR1 ... ARE YOU KIDDING ME???. Nothing more needs to be said!!! And you would be a moron to spend 2000+ on a pistol caliber non restricted firearm if I have to explain why you wont understand.

Yeah, I'm going to wait and see what happens with the Swiss Arms. At the moment I'm thinking either a tavor or the San. I fondled a classic green yesterday at the gun shop. It's so nice I could probably live with the 5 round mags. I'm going to try to get out today and see if there is a tavor I can shoulder. Even if I do like the tavor I'm still going to wait till the end of the month. My buddy at work would be soooo, so jealous if I got a Swiss. That in itself makes me want it. Lol.
I'm definitely off the MR1, I just don't like the looks, plane and simple. And probably not goona get a sub rifle, the only reason I was thinking Cx4 is because I have mags and about 1000 rounds of 9mm for it. But I can't justify buying a Cx4 and having it re-barrelled for that alone.

NEA makes a dedicated lower for the Swiss Arms that will allow you use all STANAG AR mags and AR accessories like stocks. The only thing is that you'll either have to buy a lower parts kit (pricey) or switch out the parts from your SAN lower and install in the NEA AR lower. No permanent mods required. Last time I checked the NEA lower was retailing around $500.
I guess you could buy the rifle now and save up and pick up the NEA lower down the road. If you search this forum there are a number of threads on the subject.
That said, while I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Swiss Arms fan, the Tavor is definitely growing on me. It is a pretty reliable and well-built firearm. As for the trigger pull, I find mine to be quite reasonable. No complaints on that front at all. You just need to keep in mind it isn't a benchrest bolt gun. So far for me it has been "Minute-of-Coyote" and that is all I'm asking of it.
I added a full rail to mine (MR1) and it's perfect. Even if you go Swiss arms you need to go with a target special to have good cheek weld with optics.
Fair enough, and informed decision is one you're less likely to regret. Buy once and cry once into something you like, be it either a Tavor or Swiss Arms.
Just to get it out there that if you want the ability to own a Swiss Arms in 12 days from now get your letters out in the next day or two (click here for some copy, paste, sign your name and mail out examples). If you've already got some letters out get your friends and family to do the same.
XCR-L in 7.62x39 is what i went with. luv the gun but had a few minor issues when i first got her. the bolt and bolt carrier weren't tempered proper and wore right out on me right off the hop. Fortunately Wolverine Supplies absolutely rocks and had my issues resolved in a heart beat. The only bad thing i can say about XCR is the fact the barrel will get loose after 150 to 200 rounds and really effects accuracy....... besides that, great rifle.
Loose? As in it rattles and wobbles against the receiver?
For the asking price, owners should not be forced to deal with this kind of crap or have to use loc-tite to keep their rifle from falling apart. Can you imagine the crap Norinco would get in this forum if they were the builders of the XCR?
If the XCR was retailing for $500-$600, I'd say who cares! Some QC issues and you need to loc-tite some stuff to keep it from falling off, "what do you expect for $500 dollars these days?" But it isn't, it actually costs 5X that! To me that is unacceptable. I really wanted to like the XCR, but just cannot pull that trigger.
^^I don't really care about having to Loctite a screw, as the rest of the gun is high quality to me. Field strips in a second, easily can do a barrel swap, quality machined metal finish. Unfortunately it is priced high because all Non restricted cool guns are in Canada due to the lame laws. All the non restricted guns under 1000$ are really low quality cheap guns, they are still fun to plink with but.. If it wasn't for the stupid laws up here the gun would probably cost 1800$ which is where I think the price point should be on the XCR.

I got out today and checked out the Tavor. It was my first time handling a bullpup, and to be honest I almost didnt know how to shoulder the thing. lol. It's radically differnt than any firearm I've ever handled. But I could definetly get use to it. It felt very pointable (if thats a word), I like the ergonomics, and it felt comfortable to hold once I figured it out.
I'm still going to wait to the end of the month before I decide. It'll either be a Swiss Arms, or the Tavor. I'm not going to spend $2500 on a XCR, and pray I dont get a lemon. Nothing against the rifle, but you just dont hear much (if anything) negitave about the Tavor and Swiss Arms.
Whatever I end up with I'll be sure to post pics.

That sounds like a good plan. I had my Tavor out tonight for the first time for a quick shakedown. Recoil was surprisingly light, and the rifle handled wonderfully. Even my 11year old daughter took a couple of shots. I'm looking forward trying it at longer ranges.
