Does the factory telescoping stock for the MR1 have a higher comb than the regular pistol grip version? In some photos that appears to be the case. I've seen and handled only the regular model, and found it very comfortable except for the poor cheek weld with a scope mounted. Does anybody here own one, are have any experience with one? I'm also curious as to whether it has a solidly constructed "feel" to it...it looks flimsy, but it also seems to be used on the Benelli shotguns, so...?

Yes the cheek piece rises up (higher cheek weild) as you collapse the stock. So at the fully extended position it would be similar or the same, but at the middle area it will be a good half inch or 3/4" higher. It's the same way with the Benelli M4s90 the middle collapsed position is quite a bit higher than at the end (moreso than the fixed stock)

Thanks, F22, I appreciate it. I love the ergonomics of the MR1 (I know, I'm probably the only one!) but was hoping for a better cheek weld with the stock extended all the way out. I'm still on the fence about this gun.

I hate it when a comfortable gun is also ugly as sin. :)
