No i don't think so brother...I'm sure some dealers can weigh in here on this too...They listed it as another AR variant!
(b) a firearm that

You can ask anyone with access to the FRT (verifiers, businesses, museums, etc.) to look it up again and reconfirm if you honestly don't believe me. It's listed under the model of "MR" and "HK" as the mfg. They list the .223rem/5.56 NATO/.308win/7.62 NATO as variations of the "MR" rifle, all classed as restricted due to the same legal authority.
Let's fight it in court then !!
+1
But who is going to anti up the money, I doubt anyone will come up with the cash. It's a sad, sad state of affairs indeed, if we loose in court on it in court the judge may actual make things worse and expand on the laws..
Not to sound like a defeatist but there are better battles out there to fight, like suppressor as mentioned by others is something we can prove makes no sense on the current classification!
It may be by design, but not by law! Yes I realize what you're saying, but the MR rifles are not currently classified as a variant or modification of the rifle commonly know as the M-16. The LMT Defender is restricted by both legal authorities, even though the shorter bbl lengths are only restricted by CC84(1)(b).Sorry, it's a variant.
