I have been putting together my Maverick kit and ran into a problem.
I tried to install the firing pin retaining cotter pin (AR10 size) and there is no way it will fit.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Is there a solution?
TIA

I got out my number drill set and checked the hole sizes on the MRA bolt carrier and an
AR bolt carrier. The MRA carrier hole was .099", and the AR10 carrier hole is. 128".
I tried an old machinist trick and was able to drill out the MRA carrier firing pin retainer pin hole
without too much trouble.
Now I have a standard firing pin retainer pin in place.

I believe everything is AR10 DPMS sized except their bolt carrier (proprietary) and the firing pin retaining pin (AR15 sized).
An AR 15 bolt catch seems to work fine also, but I'd recommend a BAD lever or similar if you want the charging handle on the left.

By any chance can you check/measure the forward travel of your firing pin in the MRA BCG with the bolt head rotated and also not rotated? The pin shouldn't protrude from the bolt face when not rotated into battery, right?

These are essentially bolt action rifles now, yes?
Are they straight pull (so the AR bolt functions with the cam pin as it would with an AR), or are they manually cam'd over?
How hard are they to function?
