I think I'm going to put one of these together for hunting deer and elk out to 400 yards. OK maybe just 300 but having a little extra is nice. 20"-ish barrel, .308, 6.5 or a different caliber? Any advice? I don't mind getting into reloading. I inherited all the gear for it, I just haven't started yet.
To put it in perspective right now I use a wood/blued .30-06 and I don't keep up to date on the cool kids too much. Help!

when will you guys be coming out with pre-built rifles? I would buy a 12.5" Maverick in a second (half a second for a 10.5"). Got lots of .308 mags and reloading components stashed away.

Apparently they have started to ship them out, reply I got on Facebook, I still don't have a tracking number and on my account it still says processing...
Someone posted a build picture in the black rifle form few days ago.
Hoping they build some full guns in the future. I don’t have any parts for these.
Glad they started shipping. does anyone remember how long after the renegade did they start making specific short barrels for it? I didn't follow the renegade as much when it came out. Trying to determine how long to hold out until they bring out their 12.5" for the maverick.
