MRA Renegade buffer/spring question

This may be a stupid question but are there any pros and cons to using either a lighter or heavier buffer weight in a MRA Renegade? I currently have a Geissele Super 42 braided spring and H1 buffer in there as that was what came off my AR. But have two additional tungsten weights and could switch it to a H2 or H3 buffer. Would there be any benefit to doing so?

Sounds like you have the same stuff I have I went heavy as possible in mine because it's not the gas or recoil that cycles the bolt you do. The extra mass tho when you let go definetly helps strip the next round from the mag and put it into battery nicely. Other than that it makes no real difference since it's being hand cycled. That's my opinion anyways

If it is like a AR system you want your brass to be ejecting between 3 and 4 o clock . Adjust your buffer weight to match your ammo to dial it in .

I've had one round that I suspected the bolt was not fully seated in battery (so partially rotated), as it off gassed through the bolt on firing.
I'm now leery of bolt bounce with a weak recoil spring on these, and manually push it into and 'park' it into battery.

If it is like a AR system you want your brass to be ejecting between 3 and 4 o clock . Adjust your buffer weight to match your ammo to dial it in .

As it is no longer gas operated, this will do nothing.

They don't put a recoil spring with the Renegade kit, but they do with the Maverick. I used the standard spring from my AR-15, I have had zero problems, pull back the bolt handle to eject and let the bolt handle go and it will advance the next round in and lock the bolt
