MRA Renegade Mark II rifles and receiver kits.

Don't they allready make a 7.62X39 STANAG fed unit? The ever brown liberal proposed mag law changes are going to be dropping out soon as well, what a mess.

It's a total flush situation at this point, likely need a couple extra flushes and possibly a plunger to get it all headed in the right direction!

Oh, must be a me issue then. Mine is bone stock and I can't even make it through a box of ammo without that issue. Might chalk it up to user incompetence, thanks for the info.
Had the same issue with my Maverick. Worked fine in 6.5cm but not so good when I switched to 243 win. Yes, re headspaced. Now I have a damaged and very likely an un usable receiver.

Appreciated, got it from a 3rd party though. I might try a heavier buffer spring before I go crazy and see if i can warranty anything.
Are you pulling back the bolt and just letting it “slam” into battery ? If so, it will likely not stay in battery…
I operate mine by closing the bolt by hand, and added a Strike Industries flat wire carbine length spring.

I let it slam into battery, I assumed that's the design intention.

Question... why would a renegade have difficulty staying in battery when a ar doesn't?
It's, for me, more of a light strike scenario. I get a click and a dent in the primer. Recock and make sure it's all the way forward. It'll go. Just never sure if it was an odd design thing or my incompetence.

Not sure, but when I let mine slam forward, it would bounce and not seat fully 50% of the time, and I would have
to “ forward assist” it. So I operate it back and forward by hand, then I know it is in battery.
Why does an AR have a forward assist ??

The upgraded flat wire buffer spring helps as well. I just run it as I would a regular bolt action type rifle, other than that, I like that I can operate the bolt with my left hand, and with the shorter barrel and upgraded furniture, it is a comfortable fit for me.

The forward assists job is to take a mildly jammed case and force it into the chamber so that is is solidly jammed, rendering the rifle useless.

Shoot us an email and perhaps we can help. If you damaged the receiver it may not be covered by the warranty but I'm sure we can figure something out to get you a new receiver.

The Renegade buffer spring is proprietary and stronger than an AR-15 spring so you must use the Renegade spring. The bolt should go fully into battery under spring tension. If you are using the proprietary spring and it is still not going into battery, ensure it is adequately lubricated. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact us.

I appreciate the offer to help. I collected and bagged all the bits after the malfunction. I am within a couple of hours and will make the trip by your store at some point in the near future. Thanks, Bill

I've searched the whole Canadian market looking for a Renegade 7.62×39, now that I've found this post it makes sense why I can't find any....
Will the 7.62x39 also be in the works after the new year??.
I love my Renegade 223 but I now I need a 7.62x39 to stay ahead of the game just in case they take away what's left in the semi-market
We don't have any 7.62x39 rifles just yet, however we have receiver kits, and 7.62x39 AR compatible barrels are out there as are the bolts and mags.

You can build it your self, or get us the barrel and bolt and we can build it for you to our specs...email the store (Victory Ridge for more details).
