Cool stuff, how lOng of a shelf life do these have? Let's say I bought a case and they sat until SHTF, will they still be good?

Just ordered two. Are they real MREs or civy copies? My understanding was the US gov forbade the selling of issue MREs. When I was a member I quite enjoyed them.

Storage life depends on the temp that they are stored at. Cooler the better.

if these are the ones from mealkitsupply they are the same contents that the US army uses, just different packaging. Also, canadian army cadets use them. Most of the contents are really good... with the exception of the apple oatmeal... never again!

Do these come with self-heaters or are they dunk bag in boiling water type? If they have their own heat source then I'll definately pickup one case for sure and perhaps more.

I think that there are 2 types, one's that come with the power bar and ones that come with the heater. i believe that you can use either the heater or boil them.They are fully cooked so you would be just warming them up.The difference in the the 3 offerings is the price for a"bulk" rate.
