MRP CQB piston

It should arrive hopefully by end of next week.

Right now I'm trying to figure out optics. I just bought a Larue 1.93 SPR from a member to mount my Leupold 1.5-5X scope. So between my 17" swissarms carbine and the new LMT it's going to be figuring out which gets the TA33R8 ACOG (with Larue mount) and which gets the Leupold.

I was going to get a TA31F but my budget is a little extended to say the least.

I have a cheekpiece for my Swissarms flat top. I've also seen the 1.93 used with AR15's with a Short Dot.

Got the gun today.

For a piston gun it is very light, especially compared to my 17.9" and 14.3" Swissarms. The SOPMOD stock is ok, don't like the sticky rubber pad, catches on clothing. I noticed it was really long so after collapsing it by 2 notches, it matched the length of pull of my Sigs and was better.

It didn't come with any sling mounts at all, can any one recommend a sling mount that can attach to the rail? (front sling mount).

I'll likely replace the sights with flipup BUIS and mount my TA33R8 ACOG on this one.

I have found that the SOPMOD stock allows a number of different height cheekwelds that are reproducible. It worked with my irons, miniacog with Larue mount (sits low) as well as a Leupold MRT on a Larue 1.93 spr mount. Unlike my SIG flattop or addon rail, there is absolutely no cant on the rail on the LMT.

Cyanide Ride did some pictures of the LMT

Finally cleaned it tonight, frame is tight, got used to the big easy to clean SIG but with a slotted holder and patch I could clean everything. Piston is really thin and small. Time will tell how rugged it is. No gas tube exists, piston just rides under the MRP handguard/rail. Unlike the TAVOR, no 'holes' for Wipeout to leak into/around.

After playing with my SIG's, the LMT feels so very much lighter.

Just ordered a spare barrel and Bolt carrier group for this gun. I love the easy off/easy on barrel on the LMT, makes replacing them so easy!!!

Got any pics of the gas piston/design, would like to see it up close.

Thanks
