MSAR STG E4 is out

Is anybody working on these?

Has anybody checked the FRT table? Maybe there is already a FRT number for it.

The US has to be the most difficult country to export from; it's too bad they are made in the US. This is definately something worth looking into, but it will require a lot of work on both sides of the boarder.

You would be surprised with the classifcation lab. Don't ever try and make sense or make assumptions with them; they work both for and (mostly) against us in some cases.

I was under the impression that this was listed as an Aug. So was prohibited. I recall really looking forward to them a few years ago. I've always wanted an AUG.

I guess since everyone calls them an AUG...an AUG they will be. So congrats to all, they will be Prohib.

'Is anyone working on these?'

I think if dealers/importers listed everything they were involved in, we would have a forum full of 'Coming Soon' threads. All which would end up being locked -like always- because everyone starts fighting about who knows more, they start making up shyte about who said what and start whining about the wait and price.
They (dealers/importers) go to the Shows and Expos and know of stuff coming down the pipe a couple years in advance in some cases.

Imagine if Questar posted 18 months ago the MSAR was coming or even now....he would be chained to his desk to answer every little silly question or people would start slagging him for not giving details...

wow it's early........ :)

and then idiots will start to call the CFC and ask for a decision and a gun that could be approuved by the long and carrefull work of importers that know what the hell they are doing becomes a prohib because bobby joe cant keep is f**king mouth shut and evens call the f**king CFC to argue the case....

and pepole wonder why no dealer will make annoncement like : comming next years etc. Questar even made a special mailing list for good clients to annonce this stuff and keep it under the radar untill its done. thoses good clients post the stuff in here... jesus

Well if nobody is working on these then we can just all make asumptions and twiddle our thumbs wondering why we don't have them in Canada. (DTA SRS? KRISS? etc.)

Most dealers do say in advance what they are bringing in before they are in country. It gets people hyped up and gives them time to pre-order/save for it.

I don't want to pee in the cornflakes here folks, but have any of you read the reviews by users, not paid magazine hacks???

When the MSAR STG was originally released we bought one of them (when they first started shipping in the US) and applied for an export permit from State Department. We submitted a request to RCMP to have them listed in the FRT. After some revue of the advertised material on the MSAR and specifications supplied by the manufacturer the RCMP ruled that they were for all intents and purpose a "Variant" of the AUG... they classified the gun (and a variety of AKA's) as "Prohibited". Essentially the entire STG line is Prohibited.

I really don't see how the new "E4" model will be anything but a variation of the earlier versions and therefore also classified as a Prohibited Firearm. Even the manufacturer themselves promote and advertise the MSAR as a variant of the AUG. Lots of new and redesigned features... but based on the original AUG design.

I seriously doubt that anyone is going to overturn RCMP's ruling on these but best wishes to anyone who can. Not a battle I wanted to fight (then or now) :)

Actually I recalled the verdict from this site. Not from "bobby joe". I just couldn't remember which dealer submitted one. Turns out it was Questar. Some of you guys are a little late to the party. We already had our hopes up a few years ago.
