MT 255 Russian revolver shotgun

There has been only one "Semi Auto Revolver", the Webley Fosbery. That is a revolver and not a semi! Who classed it?

You are forgetting the Mateba Model 6 Unica auto-revolver

Infact I think they make a good pair :D

It looks kind of nifty, but the biggest problem I see is that if you want to take it hunting, you would have to somehow block off two chambers so that it only holds 3 rounds.

I wonder if it would be possible to do an action job to get the double action trigger pull down to a reasonable weight.

Definitely very cool...looks heavy. "Plugging" the cylinder shouldn't bee too hard considering some shottys just have a wooden dowel...regs don't say what you have to plug the gun with...got some chewing gum??? :):p

There is a problem though, I think it might be unsafe to have any part of your body (hands, forearms) in front of the cylinder-bore gap cause of the flash.

That's only a problem if you happen to enjoy those body parts. Sillouete pistol shooters wear a big leather patch on their pants to shoot revolvers in the creedmore position, perhaps a leather shirt sleeve is the solution.

When I first saw this gun a while ago I did a bunch of calculations on the minimum trigger pull weight required to move the cylinder given a cylinder diameter, a number of shells etc. It actually took me about 2 hours to draw up the tables. Anyways long story short, it's a good thing it only holds five shots because your finger is going to be damn tired. Considering how a shotgun trigger is supposed to work, it's pretty silly. No slap for you, just a long hard yank
