MTM Ammo Boxes?

I have been looking for a source for the above. Hardly any stores seem to stock them, even Bass Pro and almost nothing shows among the sponsoring dealers.

Is Amazon really the best supplier of these?

MTM has been the go to for ammo boxes as long as I have been a reloader, but I agree that since COVID it seems many stores haven't received any stock of product from them. I assumed it was some sort of distributor or importation problem. I see a bit of Plano around now, but not nearly enough to make up the gap.

I have definitely noticed the shortage, whenever I see them I’ll buy whatever they have in stock. The Plano are ok but I prefer the mtm

Sail has a pretty good MTM selection but not as good as Amazon from what I've seen.

Storage is one of the biggest problems with the MTM cases, great for the individual who needs 3 or 4. Terrible for the retailers who have to find somewhere to store 3 or 4 hundred.

No, the 50 round flip top boxes. I agree, PA has a good selection of the bigger ammo boxes.

The Sail location in Ottawa also has a fair selection, depending on what size you need.
IIRC, Higginson's also lists them on their web site.

The last few I've gotten from Higginsons. They even had 30 carbine ones. Turns out it an insert into a small sized one

X-Reload. The MTM 50 boxes are the easiest for range use. But I also have a bunch of MTM 100's. Don't buy the MTM 100 boxes with the folding carrying handle, they have a habit of dumping about 97 rounds out in the dirt when the lid doesn't latch.

Andrew at Higginson's usually carrys a bunch of the MTM products. If he doesn't have the exact one you're after, he'll add it to his next order.

Tod...I have 3 of these newer 100 rd cases for my 300WSM, and my 6.5 PRC..they're awesome !
Also have a few of the older 100 rounders, never had any issues with them coming open on me. Actually, the opposite, almost lose a nail trying to get them open..lol

Been a fan of ALL things MTM, for a lonnnng time !! Everything from range boxes, gun cleaning centers, slip-tops, 50 rounders, 22 rd WSM cases...have lots of their products.
At a sporting clays event, I recently dropped my full, 100 round shotshell case...broke the hinges on the lid and broke the choke tube case that attaches to the top of the lid. Red faced me off.
Sent an email to MTM Case-guard wanting to buy a new lid and CT case for the lid. She asked me for a couple of pics of the busted parts...I sent them, then an address was needed. I told her I'd sooner give her my C/C # over the phone...she said no card needed !! Within 2 weeks I had a brand new, complete SW-100 case, from the US..no charge !!!
THAT, is awesome customer service !!!...esp from a US company sending stuff out to us here in Canada !!
Well done MTM...always been a fan, and WILL continue to be !
