I posted a thread a while back regarding a Bushnell D&D 6-24x40 AO. It got less than stellar reviews. So I am reconsidering.

Looking for scope to put on my CZ Varmint 17 HMR and/or my Remington VLS in .204. Primary use will be gophers and paper.

Anyone have a Mueller 8.5-25x44 AO Tactical or the Eradicator? What do you think of them??

Thanks.

The reviews I have seen on these scopes have been favorable. Falcon scope reviews have been favorable also. I would be interested in seeing them compares side by side, but that being said, I don't think you could go wrong with a Mueller. Phil from White Falls is a distributor I think and I believe he's in your neck of the woods.

I have the Mueller APV 4.5-14 on my Tikka T3 22 250 and am very happy with it and the quick delivery from Phil at White Falls. I expect to be at the range again next Sunday and could meet you there if you want to check it out. I also have a Tasco 6-24 x 40AO that I took off because I found it had more magnification than I needed. I could bring it with me if you want to give it a try.

Send PM if interested

I have the Mueller 8.5-25x44 Eraticator (yes, that's the correct spelling for the scope) on my Remington 700 VLS in .204 Ruger. It has performed well, and makes it easy to pick off ridiculously small targets. My only complaint is the rather short eye relief, but since the .204 has virtually no recoil (especially on such a heavy rifle), it's not a big deal.

I have the 8.5-25x44mm TacticalAO mounted on my Savage 12FVSS in .308. I got it off of White Falls, no hassles, and very quick and great service.

As for the scope itself, the thing is money! it is amazingly easy to pick off very small targets at very long distance...just point and shoot! As far as adjustments...they're 1/8" at 100yds...and have been fairly accurate with no real issues to speak of.

Id definetly recommend this scope

Cheers
