What do you think about Mueller products? (I'm a cheap *%?(?&("$%?"(*)_@£¢¬@¦£¤¬¦²)

IT's to be mounted on a china made m14 for target only; 100-300yards targets

I d'like a good magnification (over 9x)

i looked at the APV, will it suit my caliber?

And I'm not really sure what people mean when they say "don't expect much"
I'm not expecting anything.. what should I expect?

Since my experience with the APV was on a rimfire, I can't tell you if it would go well on an M14, but with quality rings I think it will be adequate and won't get knocked out of line easily.

Expect optics slightly below the Bushnell 3200.

Actually I would look long and hard at a Nikon for a decently priced scope; my Nikon Monarch 4-16x was $425 shipped and the optics outshone the 3200 and a VXII I used to have.

I've been looking at them Nikons and you just got lucky, those ons of guns are EXPENSIVE

I'm just looking for stuff that'll keep 0

oh and by the way the APV we discussed earlier I double checked and it clearly says "designed for all small calibre rifles" LOL shame on my eyes.

Ive an APV on a 221 Fireball, and Im happy with it.Took a coyote this spring at 325 yrds.A little fiddly with the AO,but good value Id say.

You should talk to Phil who sells them here in Canada and ask him if he recommends it for an M14. I have one on a 223 bolt action and one on a rimfire 22 and I like them for those applications. On my M14 I have a Burris FFII. It might have stronger innerds and stand up better to recoil than the APV.

When I last talked to Phil, he told me the APV, "Might" stand the recoil of my 300WM, we both laughed, and agreed that my Mueller 3-10x44 Sport Dot™ was a better choice for the 300WM. The APV does fine on my 22-250 though. At the range this weekend, I got .450" 3 shots and .880" on 5 through the APV. The other rifle was consistantly at or under 1". I mounted both of them myself, have only got into guns about a year ago, so considering my budget and experience, I like to think they both work very well. Of course I've only owned Muellers so far, so who knows, maybe other scopes will tie your shoes for you too, but the Muellers have worked for me.

pretty interesting all of this, i got the used bushnell elite 4200 4-16x50 from the EE section tho

Have a TacII on my 300 Win Mag, a light rifle. Scope handles it great and to use Elite 3200 and a TacII in the same sentence is an insult to the Mueller. It's better than my 4200 Elite by a fair bit, almost as bright as my Conquests for half the price.

I have a 50 mm Sport-dot and the reticle had canted to the left 15 - 20º. I emailed Muller asking for a repair and where to send it. Here is my response today:
Hi Holleyman,
The problem is that due to new exporting laws created by the US Government, we cannot ship scopes outside the USA without an exporting permit issued by the US Department of Commerce.. This is a very lengthy process and we cannot do this on an individual basis.. If we could ship it to a USA address, then no permit would be required BUT you would be fully responsible for getting it back to Canada and without a proper permit, could be subjected to massive fines.
Sorry we couldn't be of more help.. I'm not sure how the scope made it to Canada in the first pace but it should of been accompanied by an exporting permit.
Thank you
Mueller Optics

So any suggestions as to a Canadian local repair shop for scopes would be great. I know my next mid-range scope will be another Falcon or Bushnell.

By the sounds of the reply you got from Mueller, they aren't even aware that they have a dealer in Canada.
