Mule deer hunting - Episode two - Buck Down

That’s a 300 rum shooting hornady ELD-x 220 gr at 2974 fps. It was 95” of drop. I think it looks like less because of the prone shooting position
Is that correct?

Now if you wounded it at that range would you have showed the footage?

But he didn't, the bullet went right where it was aimed, as well as the first on the doe, but it was out of the camera field of view.
Same results as with a well placed with a 100 yard shot, although the time of flight would be shorter.

My rifle shoots a 3.5” group at 750 yards. I’m as confident at that range as most people are at 200 with their regular hunting rifles. I have invested allot of time and money into being proficient at long range.

Nice!!!
And thank you for not having music playing when there is dialogue. I'm at the stage when I can't hear if there are multiple sounds.

PS - My longest shot at a whitetail, here in NS, is 120 yards......475...wow.....720...double wow......

Thanks for watching! Music and sound is the hardest parts of editing videos. I have learned through allot of feedback that sometimes less is more with the music. Appreciate the compliment!

One of my peeves for most hunting channels is you need to max out the volume to hear the whispers (specially with my hearing), then cover your ears and zero it when the loud as #### music comes on, so i like the subtitled whispers and that the music isn't obnoxiously loud compared to everything else.

try switching to wireless speakers. Hold them in your hand. the proximity should help reduce the diffusing effect of distance and make the whispers seem louder.

The main problem is hearing loss/damage, to much load music, construction equipment and load guns before i started wearing earplugs. Certain peoples voices and whispers in general, specially when there's other background noises are tough.

I do have a wireless headset that helps, just not always using it.

awesome answer..... don't take any sh!t from anyone here
a man who knows his rifle shouldn't have to make any excuses for a one shot kill at any range.

congrats and cool video. looking forward to more in the future.
