Multiple Handguns, Same Caliber?

I like having a handgun and rifle in the same caliber, 22lr and 44 mag.
Also have a 9mm, 45acp, and 45-70 and a couple of 12 ga.
I would like to get something next in a caliber I don't already have just to have something completely different.

Roughly I have three of each calibre. I like to have a revolver for the winter in each calibre, lot less hassle looking for brass. I'm talking .22, 9mm, .38S, .40 & .45. One problem I have noticed is that some of the guns have really different triggers. Like a Ruger P89 is DAO and it has a hard trigger pull, and my 1911s have a really easy trigger pull, as do the SAA Colt clones. Causes me issues. I have to careful with the triggers or it fires before I want it to, which is bad. I guess a person could have worse problems!

I have 5 .22 handguns. 3 are pistols and 2 are revolvers. I have 2 9mm pistols as well. I like not having to bring multiple calibers to the range. The trouble is finding a good revolver in 9mm. I'm missing a centerfire revolver so I may need to expand my handgun calibers.

Over the years, I've consolidated my calibers for pistols to only .22LR and 9mm. Easier to buy ammo, cleaning equipment that is good for all the pistols.

For Me:

9mm:
Beretta 92fs Comped
Beretta M9 Comped
Beretta 92-A1
Glock 17
M&P 9mm
RIA 1911

40:
Glock 22
Glock 27
M&P .40

and a Taurus Revolver in .357.

Long Guns, thats a different story. Each caliber has it's own purpose.

My pistols are .22s, .45s, .40's. My revolvers are .357s, .44s, and .45s. I've got a .44 lever rifle as well.

That still seems like a lot of different calibers, but I don't shoot the revolvers as much as the pistols... I deliberately gave up on the 9mm to cut down the number of different cartridges and I'll probably never bother with oddities like the .380 or the Tokarev rounds. Different guns that shoot the same calibers just make sense to me...moreso than having to find and stock a lot of them. YMMV...but that's what feels good to me. I'm also going to sell off my SKS and replace it with another M305... :D Then I'll have 3 .308 rifles...
