Wow ... 50 years ago my dad used to take us out to the Thetis Lk range every year when the Vic PD was having their annual qualification shoots. It was like a big family picnic. Got to shoot his service revolver. So close to town too !

Hence the reason there is no more range. The backstop is probably someone's kitchen now.

Yes, I had some great memories on that range. They hosted some very good matches. And of course the range/members of VFG up the malahat, still do a fantastic job. The Island shooting community has always shown us dudes from the prairies some excellent hospitality!
 
I sent him my 629 for service... all good and a nice guy. Also sent him an old pistol to appraise and he did that too. It is a busy place so patience is required.

Had a warranty issue with my 625-8, barrel came loose.
Sent it in , REAL fast turnaround and slicked up as well!
never heard anything but great things about them......
