AP properties are not degraded by distance as the velocity of the projectile has nothing to do with penetration. Monroe Effect. Had some around here that we used in the oil patch for shooting oil wells. Standing still, a 28-gram charge will knock a hole through 14 inches of tractor axel. MUCH better than the old bullet guns, which were on their way out in the middle 1950s. You need about 2 to 3 inches of standoff to get this. Working pressure is about 4.2 million PSI. Granted, the modern commercial shaped charges ARE more efficient than the WW2 jobbies but if you're gonna do the job, then, do the job. No concerns for the other guy's safety!

Still would like to play wth one..... and a big box of free ammo. Oh well, too late to join the Wehrmacht now!

What I meant though was the explosion and how close the shooter might be to said explosion :D
