Mushroom Identification: Shaggy Mane or Scaley Ink Cap??

I'm thinking that they are Coprinus Quadrifidus - Scaly Ink Cap
The Shaggy Mane is said to grow towards Fall and they are also said to be approx twice the size of the Scaly Ink Cap. Shaggy caps are 5-15cm across, Scaly caps are 2-8cm across....the ones I picked all looked to be 2-8cm....

the middle and bottom pictures are shaggy manes.
Shaggy manes also turn black and make black slime as they get older.Shaggy manes are best eaten before the cap opens up.I think shaggy manes don't taste great,even with butter but they can be eaten.Alcohol should not be drank within 24 hrs either way of eating these mushrooms or they make you get a crappy hangover!
Be careful eating mushrooms from areas like parks and ditches which are often sprayed with chemicals.
Also,never eat a mushroom you are not absolutely sure of its identification,many look alike and are difficult to identify by looking at the fruitbody alone.
Some types of mushroom poisons can start having effects within an hour of ingestion but most of the worst poisons take about 12 hrs before they start destroying your liver and kidneys.There is even a poison that takes 3 weeks to cause problems,who would even think about something they ate so long ago as being the culprit?

All 3 pictures are of the same group of mushrooms from the same location. They are all Scaly Ink Cap....none are Shaggy Manes.

Had to ask eh?
Just out of high school and always in the bush, on a hunt with my one chum around the Spences Bridge area, we were out exploring new areas. I think this time it was in and around the Venable Lake area. Grouse were plenty and we did get a few for dinner. Mushrooms......Shaggies.......were sprouting there as well. I'd see a bunch and harvest them. My buddy was just shaking his head. City Snicker for sure. We set up camp and I started on dinner. Had the typical bottle of goof, taters, onions, few grouse and a frying pan of these Shaggies. He was sure skeptical and kept looking at his watch every time I took a mouthful of the shrooms. Ten minutes went by or so and he just couldn't take it any more, plus the Shaggies were gett'in low so to speak.
He got into them and every time there was a white head popping out of the ground..........STOP THIS TRUCK is what would come out of his mouth. I lost about a years worth of brake lining on this trip. Converted Shaggie he was.
And what does this have to do with hunting and sporting arms you ask?
If you're hunting and sporting arms, Shaggies fit in there for sure.......

Best to sneak up from behind when their not lookylooing and do the foomanchoo dive attack. Kwickly slice through the trunk. Best to do this quick as they will let out a high pitched sqweel and alert the other Shaggies. Most of the time the alerted ones will deepen their color to an inkish form making them unappealing for harvest.
The odd bunch will group together and gather stones and imbed them in their hides. Then it's tough to floss the skiddles out of your teeth.
If you decide to do the donnogodrop and sqwarsh them, they get real hard
to clean.
Shooting them would be fun and I think maybe a bb or pellet gun would suffice. You can .410 them and watch them fly. Not sure what the CO's would think of this sport. Could be classified as an illegal activity. S'pecially the y'ung'uns who haven't had a chance to blue.........
I think the one on one combat would prove your manhood on this attack.
