My interest in playing music started in the early 60s as did my interest in gun collecting.
Currently I listen to music and still think about gun collecting.
Today, I am more liable to buy a gun than pick up my drum sticks.

I hear you brother...as soon as I ran out of stuff to buy for my drums, I switched to gun collecting. I don't think it's possible to run out of guns.........;)

I'm interested in both too, but the funny thing is that I have been given about a dozen guns and no guitars or basses.

Both expensive hobbies for sure! Mine was cars and guns. Equally expensive. Guns won. Increasing laws preventing any on road fun, and dettering any mods, and over zealous police officers. (Not all, just some) have ruined it.
So now I can focus on guns! Haha

Interesting where people's interests go over the years.
I was very active in sailboat racing back in the late 80s.
Sold the boat years ago..... and am still "somewhat" interested in collecting vintage guns.

I still have the drums but they are quite quiet.

I guess the guns get under your skin.

Yes it is a crazy road! I rode dirt bikes my whole life, got pretty decent at freestyle even and always rode sleds competitively in the backcountry. Went on holidays with my fiancée two years ago and she wanted to go antique hunting. I found a Port contract bayo in a little shop outside Kamloops and since then I've rreally developed a love of shooting milsurps and now starting into LR. Quite a change!

Funny, I'm a guitarist myself and a Savage 99 collector.
Guns and guitars have been my passion since I was a kid.
These days I'll spend a few hours playing fingerstyle guitar, maybe plug in the Strat for 20 minutes, then off to the reloading bench and maybe a trip to the range.
But once sept rolls around, all things aside and time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors and fill the freezer!

Maybe a few of us should get together and write a song about guns!
