Muskrat Fur Yukon

The government says fur is part of Canada's heritage and the winter tuque currently in use doesn't stand up to the rigours of the Canadian winter.

So it's buying an initial run of 1,000 fur-trimmed caps, for use by guards of honour and Canadian Forces starting this winter.

Now, however, National Defence says the winter headgear isn't cutting it, so it is bringing in so-called Yukon caps trimmed with muskrat fur.

"The uniforms worn by the Canadian Forces are a reflection of Canada's proud heritage," Ms. Hunter said, calling the hats "distinctly Canadian."

Are these "originals" or replicas? Is the outer shell 100% wool or other materials? Could you post a closeup pic of the inside label, pls?

And what would be the sizes (circumference) for small/medium/large?

Thanks in advance...

No offense but 10 years of gulag-style work in the high arctic proved to me how wrong the government is. A decent parka, toque and Helly Hansen blue face warmer are the key to survival. Those hats may be fashionable but they don't mesh with a good hood and they allow cold air to blow down and around the cheeks and neck. They don't wick, don't dry and are too bulky to stuff into a pocket.

That being said, my son just bought one of those hats and loves wearing it around town.

^^ Yes, I have seen them around town as well, but more so often in the past on wintertrails in the bush.

Hence, I'm asking for details...

I also would wonder on how you accept ordering?

Your site web certificate says "invalid/insecure,..." at best. Please advise....
