Must have 45 that isnt a 1911 or 2011?

SIG P220
HK MK23
FNX 45 Tactical
CZ97B
Glock G21

I would also have a gander at the HK45.
Only reason the HK45 is not a must have is due HK's notoriously terrible service up here (things may have change, dunno).

JMHO, .45ACP cartridge and the 1911 pistol were made for each other.

In fact, where I came from, we called the 1911, 45. They were everywhere. With military and civilians alike.

But I did give exception to the Ruger P90. True Lies and Desperado made me do it.

Owning both a P220 and a P227 you can feel the top performing firearm. If SHTF i will prefer by far my P227. Not really bigger than a P226, 10 rounds. beauty SRT trigger, better accuracy than the P220 and POINTABILITY is awesome. I luv my 220 also, it's thinner, 8 rounds but i prefer my P227. YMMV.

The Sig and HK45 and 45C are good 45acp caliber guns.

Myself personally. I find recoil management difficult on a glock in 45acp. Whichever gun you can get a good grip on would be a good choice for 45

The 41 is an easy gun to handle. The bit of extra length and weight makes recoil quite manageable.

I’ll second the CZ97, although I found the DA trigger reach quite long with the factory grips...the longest of any handgun I’ve ever owned. I do think it’s one of the best looking CZs, and I found the one I owned a few years ago very pleasant to shoot. I wrote a review of that one here.

The HK USP 45 /45c is a solid option. I have owned both and the 45c was the most accurate pistol I have owned.

Hi folks,

Looking at adding another 45 to the collection and I wanted to see what you guys thought would be a “must” in 45 acp that isn’t a 1911/2011?

I was thinking the fnx-45 tactical? What else is out there?

My .45ACP semi's are long gone....... but the S&W PC 625 is a keeper!
Always lusted over a H&K Mark23
