I have had guns over the years that people complained didn't work, had all sorts of issues, then I tore them down and found out it was either user error, error in re-assembly or the gun was pluged up with filth or grease. It is surprising how well a clean and properly lubed gun works. There are always people that hate but those that hate for second or third party opinions or from only observing are playing with only half the facts. Does the gun have malfunctions, well any gun can have them. But to tout the gun as problematic without finding out why is irresponsible. Thats just my take on it.

You are going to love your XCR! I also have one in 6.8 and I am always in the bush with it. You will find that you turn a lot of heads when you meet other hunters, lol.
As stated earlier, don't listen to the crap which constantly flows from some members in every thread concerning the XCR; mine has run flawlessly since day one. Just look after it like any other firearm and you'll be golden.

Again, I think this is an early generation vs latest generation XCR thing. There were quite a few QC fixes at Robarm that have improved the quality of the latest batches.
Mine is flawless and running hard.
I'm sure some fall apart.
I'm also sure some AR-15s fall apart too, but will we hear about someone having hardware issues at an event with their AR-15? Nope. User error.

Anytime there is an XCR thread, we will see armedsask in there, IIRC, he had one, did not like it and sold it. This does not make him a hater. This makes him free to make personal choices and let people know why he did so.
So what, you, myself and some other people paid some money for a rifle that other people don't like. Post asking about something and someone is bound to show up with a different opinion. welcome to the f*cking internet.
both adler and stevo mentioned they saw XCRs fail during courses, maybe we could ask them, rather than call them "haters", what they saw go wrong, and how they would go about correcting it.

The XCR is not an end-all rifle.There, I said it.
Just like anything, acknowledge, and make steps to correct it's shortfalls and its a great rifle. Some might argue that you shouldn't have to do this for a $2400 rifle, but it's all personal opinion.
Locktite- yes, spend some time to disassemble the thing, locktite and go.
Allen keys - do have a good set of Allen keys with you, the gas block can loosen if it has not previously been tightened enough.
get a 12 gauge bore-snake for cleaning your gas tube.
ammo- break it in, shoot it lots, find what it likes, what it doesn't (if any) go from there.
I find LOP is to short for me, so stock adapter and tube it is.
The XCR is a great little rifle, it's too easy to read a bunch of stuff on Internet forums and become worried/scared etc. about it.
get out, shoot it, and enjoy !

I've seen XCR's sh*t the bed and I've seen 'em run like a champ. Personally, I'm not sure what to think, but the one common thread I see with the rifle is that people whe know a thing of two about maintaining, cleaning and running a firearm tend to have fewer issues than the guys who buy 'em and figure they can get to shooting without looking at the rifle first.

I have not personally been through a course with an XCR present...I do know a couple of trainers who have had them through their courses.
I would describe Adler Tactical's experience as "not unfamiliar sounding".
I can also say that I now know a guy who actually DID have the barrel fall off...a theorized but until now (for me at least) mythical event. The barrel screw did have blue loctite on it.
So my advice would be simply to keep your allen keys handy and check the torque regularly if you intend to do anything with the gun involving moderate to high round counts.
If, however, you don't shoot much, and you might own the gun for two years before getting a thousand rounds through it, you probably can just relax and shoot it. Although I would still give it a good once-over with allen keys and loctite.

Well let me put my money where my mouth is 
I own two XCR''s, one of the earlier rifle and one of the new Micro Pistols, the rifle has closed to 2000 rounds of .233 and 7.62 x 39 so far, the amount of FTE and FTF is the same as my Stag and Tavor, most of that I attribute to not seating my mag in propberly.
I keep all my internal wet with lube, with the exception of flushing the barrel out with hot tap water when I am shooting corrosive ammo, my cleaning routine consisted of, swabbing out the barrel, dip the bolt carrier in a jar of Ed's Red than just shake off the excess and wiping down the internals with a rag soaked in more Ed's Red.
None of of my bolts have fallen off so far, but I haven't take my rifle apart down to very last nuts and bolt either, I do check if anything has come loose when I remember.

Another satisfied XCR-L owner here, but I did have to retighten my gas black after 500 rounds or so...

There was nothing wrong with the shooter. Don't go making up details in the story. He fired 500+ rounds a day over 4 days. Eventually, he got it sorted out.
"Tar the whole system"? I did nothing of the sort. I passed no judgement, just passed on an observation. I didn't see parts falling off CSA's or 858's or AR's or Swiss Arms. If I had, I'd mention it when the topic came up.

could someone translate that post into English for me?
I'm not an AR owner nor a XCR owner and might never own either. But what I've noticed over numerous XCR threads is that a lot of the same gunutz come onto these threads and say negative things about the XCR. Now some may say it with good intentions and some may even offer good advice but a lot of it is basically knocking the XCR and by inference anyone that chooses to buy one over another black rifle - usually an AR or Swiss Arms. I don't know what it is about the XCR that makes some gunnutz act this way. Its pathetic to see this over and over on the XCR threads.
The XCR does not have the 40+ years development and millions of dollars invested in it to get it to the same point as the AR. The AR is basically a civilian commercial semi auto version of the Armalite AR15 later adopted as the M16 which most Vietnam vets will tell you was a piece of crap until sorted out. In its latest military configuration (C7, M4, etc) it still has its detractors, hence the HKs Tavors, even reactivated M14s etc being fielded by other armed forces.
The OP wants to hunt with his XCR which is/was my intention as well hence my interest in it. No one at this present time is ever going to hunt with an AR here in Canada no matter how good the AR platform is. AR owners get over it already. THe XCR will get sorted out with time just like the AR did. The same guys just knocking the XCR over and over again - well you look pathetic and over time have make your opinions on the XCR and by inference on other threads at the least questionable and at the most worthless. Just my $0.02 and if you don't like - well stay off the XCR threads or contribute something useful.
