Me thinks you are not as far as you thinks you are.
you are right and im wrong...
Not my intention. I think it is helpful for us to have dialogue because I see hunters as having a key role in management of wildlife and we are stewards of the environment. Both of us are hunters. Therefore we need to communicate views and ideas effectively so that we can come to some sort of balanced agreement. It's not about who is right or wrong - it's about sharing and discussing ideas.
If you want to take the emotion out of it and make decisions based on facts start right here.
Who made the decision to go for a walk in the woods with a ten month old infant?
So you are saying it was all the mothers fault then?

With that comment you just put emotion back in. That's right up there with the ######s calling this tragedy "karma" ...

Two people out and about in bear country unarmed.
An adult and an infant.
A hungry grizzly bear follows its natural instincts and kills them.
The mother was wandering around in country knowing that predatory bears are present with an infant unprepared and unequiped to defend herself or the kid.
Of course it was the adults (the mother) fault.
Who else’s fault would it be? The kids?
Certainly not the bears fault as it was only doing what was natural for it to do.
i think it's safe to say , not many people expect to encounter a bear at the end of november in the yukon !. I think instead of everyone blaming this on the bear , or the government , or the victims ... I think it can simply be called a tragic accident and an extremely rare occurrence. We have so very very few fatal bear attacks in the yukon .deepest sympathies to the husband and father ... What a terrible way to lose loved ones
