Just got the embroidered crest for the Mutual Aid decal. I wanted to show the guys how it turned out without doing a BTT in the EE section.

So here is what it is going to look like on the hats. There won't be any of the white material, it will be enbroidered directly onto the black hats. The crest is 2.5" diameter/height.

It is shown along with the original HP and decal, as well as my decals for comparison.

The pics make the crest look a bit more "oranger" than it really is. The yellow/gold area is more yellow than depicted. So other than my lousy photos, it shows it pretty close.

Awesome koldt, just awesome. I sent you a PM knowing full well you were probably inundated with PM's, but just wanted to say I am interested in a hat. Nice initiative. I sent the PM on March 3rd, let me know if you need another one or need me to reconfirm.

Edit: Just read your EE post and re-sent you a PM.

I am only getting 12 of these made up. I only wanted one, for me, but I had a minimum order that I had to get. So there will only be 10 for sale, at what they cost me, and once they are gone, ain't no more and I doubt they will last as long as the gun show.

I don't want this to be an EE thread. Please check EE for details.

So what's the story behind these crests?
This crest was used by manufacturers of Canadian made war supplys starting in 1943 until the end of the war. It consisted of the maple leaf and the word Canada in english, russian, and chinese, which were the languages of the principle recipiants of Mutual Aid Board supplies. It could be found on everything from ammo boxes to truck hoods. Today, it is a symbol of a pristine Inglis highpower, since the decal will wear off after about a thousand rounds.
Before deploying to Bosnia a couple years back, a couple guys in the Battery received new Inglis Hipowers out of the supply system, resplendant with their decals.
