Muzle Device Comparison Test...

So what is your guys thought's on the Armalite muzzle break?

Well, I pulled off the SJC Titan tonight and tried a PWS TTO (FSC556 without flash hider tines). Compared to the Titan, the TTO feels marginally better than an A2, and like they said in the video, it walks horizontally. I can maintain better control of the rifle gripping the magwell with the Titan than I can holding the forward of the gas block with this thing. After all of the great things I've heard about the FSC556, it was tremendously disappointing.

^^The A6 is on a whole other level than the XB6. It does it all, reduces recoil and compensates for muzzle rise. I never tested the A6 with my pie plate test though. So I can't comment on how it would perform on that particular test. I have shot the A6 with both the VZ58 and the AR and it's performance is outstanding. I have a hard time believing anything else could come close to it actually.

I would like Clobb the muzzle brake king's thoughts on this brake from Stag Arms

I ain't the king of sh!t. I apologize if I have come off that way, it wasn't my intention. There are members of this board that put my little piss ant knowledge of muzzle devices to shame.

Just from looking at that brake I would hazzard a guess that it would horribly over compensate on rifle with shorter barrels. I made that mistake with my Clobb comp and had to spend a bunch of time fixing it. I could be wrong though, it's hard to tell from the pictures and video (also the brake in the video doesn't look the same as the brake in the pic). Also, unless they made that thing out of some exotic metal, I'd worry about erosion around the baffle ports. I made that mistake too....

From the video, I wouldn't expect much from it. You can see a lot of rearward thrust when he's firing.

Thanks Clobber.

I got to fire my buddy's Stag 3G the other day, which has that comp. Wasn't impressed. Found it over-compensated... too much downward thrust. Rapid firing really pushed the muzzle down. We were shooting FC 55gr.
