Aquired some #2 bizmuth took my pedersoli 10 gauge double last Sat. used 100gr.FF 1.5oz of shot I was impressed hammered the geese better than my 3.5mag with high velosity steel. lots of smoke and fun . bizmuth a tad pricey at 125.00 for 8 pounds . anybody else try this in there muzzel loading shot guns?
 
My buddy has had some success with his 12 gauge S/S flintlock and no 4 Bismuth. If I could find bismuth in Calgary I would try it in my single shot Mowry 12 gauge or my 20 gauge flintlock fowler.
 
I bought my bizmuth from a fella just out side calgary Will Bizor I'll see if I can find his # and post it
 
will bilozir operates under "ballistic products". he was the distributor for bismuth but bismuth has gone the way of the dodo. ballistic pr has a website and he does mail order.

he also sells hevi shot in bulk, but you can't use HS without a shot cup.
i am trying to get that info on what components will work but i have enuff bismuth for this season..

i do enjoy hunting with my double flinter. i have taken ducks,geese and just this week a pheasant with it. for some reason i shoot it better that my O/U browning. fussier on my shots i'm thinking. :)
 
hornhead - Is your double flint modern or an antique?

I have a bottle of #6 bismuth. Should be fine if the birds are close in.
