I'm looking for information on having a muzzle brake installed on a 7mm Sendaro. Who should I call? What price should I expect to pay? Is there a shop that specializes in this type of work? (I live in Northern Alberta) Is it cost effective and worthwhile? What questions should I ask the potential gunsmith? Is a screw on option better? (example: Tikka Tactical) Any information would be appreciated. If the information is of a personal note,(bad experience) please sent it to my email account. Thanking you in advance.

Click on the link below (MUZZLE BRAKES) and there are some brakes I have done.

The large brake on a large barrel is on a Sendero and is threaded on for ease of cleaning.

PM me for more details.

Guntech has a stellar reputation on this site, so I'm not trying to convince you to go elsewhere. Another option though, which is likely fairly close to home for you, is Corlane Sports in Dawson Creek (250 782 2111). You could call and talk to Rod or Tim there. Not sure of their prices or turn around time. They did a brake on a 7mmRM for me a few years ago. It is a very light rifle, and the break had an incredible effect on it , both in terms of felt recoil and muzzle jump. I'm not a huge muzzle brake fan. That's the only rifle I have with a brake on it, but the brake turned it from a nasty beast to a pussycat.

Personally, I think you are better off to buy a brake, and then have someone skilled, Like Dennis, Bill or Rick do a professional job of making sure the brake is concentric and well anchored.

Bill Leeper builds his own brakes and does an amazing job of blending them with the barrel. I have seen half a dozen of them and they are VERY nice. I had one installed on a .300 ruger and it worked and looked top notch. His prices are very reasonable. If he is not overly busy I would recommend him any day

Muzzle Brake Job Complete!

Thanks to Gunnutz and Dennis (Guntech).
Posted the tread looking for information on muzzle brake's one month ago and received the finished product last week! Thanks to all who responded. I ended up ordering a Holland Muzzle brake and had Dennis install it. Flawless job on the install, if fact the only thing better was the customer service. I'll post pictures if anyone is interested. Thanks again,
Shawn
