I can't seem to find any muizzle brakes or compensators in canada. Anyone know of any suppliers? I have a DPMS Panther LRT-308 and a nice big brake would really help me stay on target.

Guntech, Mick McPhee, Ron Smith, Mr. McClennan can likely all help you to either make/install or install what you would like.

I can supply brakes with the barrels I offer from Shilen and McGowen.

There are a few 'shops' working on making brakes in Canada. Hopefully, we will start seeing more domestic products being produced.

Same post in the Gunsmithing forum will yield lots of info.

Also check Coretac Solutions (google),a Canadian supplier of brakes designed for
Sako,AI and Blaser rifles but they may fit your needs as well.I just swapped out a Holland for theirs on my Blaser. Substantial difference.
I used to have a DPMS 308 HB 24" and used a JP Eliminator brake. Very effective efficient and LOUD. Can watch your hits.

any local gta gun store can order a TRG42 -t3 tact muzzle break. they are the BEST! will work on anything from 223-338 lapua and reduce recoil to almost nothing.

i was shooting just over an inch at 200 with factory ammo in my 300winmag and after putting the break on iam down to about .7

got mine from williamsarms in portperry.

.

I seriously doubt you have any scientically based data to back this statement uo.
The reality is that the factory Sako brakes offer "fair" not great recoil reduction. There are FAR more efficient brakes on the market, our custom brakes being only 1 example and at FAR less money than the factory Sako brakes cost.

If you shoot a TRG you may want to look at our TRG rails, they too are FAR superior to what Sako offers and again at alot less $$

Since we are on the subject of brakes;
Question for Rick ATRS
Could you give me a rough price for installing one of your brakes on my CZ 527 Kevlar 223, I am primarily looking for elimination of muzzle jump so I can see my hits.
Thanks
CC

WE could thread your CZ barrel to 1/2x28tpi and then instal our Spartan brake on it. Muzzle flip will be very nearly zero and because it is 1 of our production brakes will save you $$
The brake is $125.00 and to thread your barrel is $75.00

Whatever brake you decide on make shure thare are no holes on the bottom or anywhere near pointing towards the ground unless you want to raise a tremendous dust signature every time you pull the trigger! I have used a few brakes and presently use the Holland brakes, I will keep using them unless it gets proven that another brake will make a difference. Actually any brake will make a differrence some more than others but they all work.

At some point in time, I'd like to get one of these 'things'... Tried one a few years ago on a AR and it did a good job at keeping it on target. So I assume it would also work (probably better) with a 'bigger' caliber.
