Muzzle brake effectivness vs. muzzle jump

Never used one, I am very curious about effectivness, style ie. vents/angles, bolt on vs. threaded, pros and cons, trials and testimonials etc.

They work , less recoil and muzzle jump, but increase noise. The more
Effective it is the louder they gwnerally are. There isnt much differance between thread on and clamp on as far as effectiveness .What caliber are you shooting ? If your thinking about one for a 223, then you might wanna take a look at your shooting position

Badger FTE on a 308 Win. Its effective enough to let you see your own hits and occasionally your own swirl (under the right conditions).

I like that its removable for cleaning or if you need to shoot without it.
