The ATRS eliminator is excellent. No flash at all from my buddies 7.5 AR. The flaming pig is lame, the last 7.5 with one attached I fired increased the felt recoil and it throws a massive fireball. The smith enterprises vortex is one of the best flash hiders on the market bar none, especially for its sized. Next choice would be the AAC blackout, but the high pitch ring it emits after each shot gets old very fast. As for linear comps on SBR's, they throw a massive amount of flame.

I have an Allen Gunworks linear on my 6.5 inch and it is surprisingly comfortable to shoot. Can't be beat for $60 :)
I also have an S&J linear for my 300BLACKOUT and while I haven't shot it yet the machining is nice and I have no doubt it will direct the blast downrange.

You don't need an expensive brand name linear comp to make a short barrel comfortable to shoot.

Exactly what I was thinking the other night when I bought the AGW Linear compensator. Good price, not too flashy, does what I want it to do, and it's Canadian made, and sold by a veteran. What's not to like?

What's the difference between Dlask's XB-1 and XB-5? Is the XB1 only a flash hider while the xb5 is both a hider and a compensator?

That one looks nice but a short barrel AR needs something to direct the concussion downrange. They can be very loud.
I would like to try one of those on my 12.5 inch AR though. Do you know of any retailers carrying that in Canada?

I have my B.E. Meyers listed on the black rifles parts EE, also selling brand new NEA 14.5"

I have the hera linear comp on my 10.5. Def. A flame thrower but it sends the noise downrange and does a good job keeping the muzzle down. Milarm had a few in stock a few weeks ago.
