Hi

I have a Tikka T3 Varmint in .300 win mag and I'd like to buy a brake for it.
What do you guys suggest?
I've found two that I like, but I honestly have no idea if they would be a good fit for my rifle so feel free to suggest different models.

In addition to that, can we order from the US?

Thanks

A Limbsaver recoil pad or mercury recoil reducer would make your rifle easier on the shoulder, without making it harder on the ears..

Jennings does a decent job on brakes.
He angles the ports slightly forward so the blast
attempts to blow downwind.
They are spendy with the installation costs.
Why Not aka Ted just put one up in the EE.

Standard thread for Tikka's is M18x1, which lets you use Sako, Near & other brakes designed for those rifles. Probably your wisest choice. You could thread it to an inch size, seems like that size is typically 5/8-24, but there are lots of different sized brakes / supressors sold in the US. Don't know anything about clamp-on models.

Yup, X2 on the limbsaver and mercury recoil reducer
Glue gun the merc reducer in place, then foam it, after it dries trim foam and install recoil pad - the weight in the back makes it feel much more balanced.
I had a muzzle break on a 325, it worked great! But man, when shooting the rifle away from the range, it was fricken loud!!!!!!

I've been searching Canadian stores but most of them have brakes for ARs, when they have anything for bolt actions and calibers bigger than 223 or 308 their prices are about 3x what I can get at brownels.
Can you guys recommend a Canadian store with decent prices???

Tks

Worth reading some of the history on here - the Brownell's question comes up all the time. I believe (IIRC) they will ship firearms-related parts up to $100 per shipment, but you better check.

I'll chime in on that one! Short answer? ...No.

I had my eyes on the exact same muzzle brake from Brownells recently. When you try to order it, the following pops up with the item in your cart before the checkout:

"Restrictions

Foreign Shipping
This item cannot be shipped out of the United States.

Foreign Sales
This item cannot be sold out of the United States."

Unless someone knows a way around this, I'd say you and I are SOL on this one.

Hi Guys,
got this one done and it works like a charm.

Check out "Vise muzzle breaks" I installed one on my T3 300WSM and turned out to a very nice combo. Combine with limbsaver pat it is very comfortable rifle to shoot.
