I have several different ones on ARs. My only concern is muzzle jump in the transition phase of CQB where I want to empty the rifle as fast as possible and switch over to the pistol, where I can use some extra time. Yesterday I ran a test.

I put up a sheet of paper at 25 yards, and aimed at a 1" black patch, and double tapped as fast as I could. I wanted to see where the second round went. I should have started with no brake installed, so I could measure "before" and "after' results. Next time.

7 1'2" with a bird cage. Second round went high and left.

10.5" S&J copy of a famous brake. Forget which one. Second round went high.

14.5" with a $25 brake I got off Ebay. #330441589480 Second round went a bit low.

I tried this same cheap brake on a 10.5" and the blast in the face was too strong. It would work well on 14" and longer.

The cheapo is the one I have been using this year. It does kick up crap, but I don't use full power ammo of or CQB. That seems to help.

I see a Krink type brake that only has two holes on the top (nothing on the side). That might be the solution to modified prone. See Ebay # 330690993387
