I'm running an APA little Bastard Gen2......very good brake but harder to find.

Look at Insite Arms Heathen brake, very good reviews and made in Canada!! My next brake for sure.

kombayotch is competing in PRS with one I believe, so you could ask him also if he likes it.

I'm running their brake as well, outstanding performance shrank my 300 yard groups by almost 1/2".

Figured I should also add that with the brake, I've been able to spot my own impacts at 300 yards and actually see the swirl as well. Pretty awesome thing to see, break trigger, and your view is distorted and then impact!

I'm running a vais on my 308. I can't compare to any other brakes, but typically the people beside me on the range comment on how surprisingly quiet it is.

Another vote for Insite Arms Heathen brake: no dirt in the face when prone, no complaints from the spotter next to me and my recoil pattern is more horizontal allowing me to maintain a view of the target at all times. I specifically wanted a brake not for the reduction in recoil, of which it does to, but to prevent muzzle climb so I can maintain a view of the target.

Heathen self indexing brake from Insite Arms, very effective, simple to use, Frank Galli with sniper's Hide will release a review on it in a few weeks as well as 6.5 Guys will do one by the end of the month.

For those who have been asking about current available brakes

This is a pic and side by side comparison of our currect brake profiles: Left to Right...1.096 ( for m40 and heavy contour barrels, 0.996 for Medium to Heavy Palma/m24 contour barrels, 0.885 for light palma/med palma Ruger RPR barrels, our AR-15/AR-10/ XCR brake

Whats the price on the heathen? I currently have a grizzly gun works and it looks ridiculous at the end of my savage. I would much prefer something more streamlined....that works....and is made in Canada. Thanks.

We started with an introductory price of $225 shipped
We have made a few minor changes ie. Nitride finish & added an online ordering option specific to various provincial sales tax ( we had no choice :)
They are $225 plus tax and shipping
