Hi there, did a quick search on the subject with no find.

My question is:On a barrel that is threaded to accept an aftermarket muzzle brake, lets say i want to install one with only side ports or holes, how do i know if the unit will stop turning at exactly the right spot so the exit ports are on the side?
Do they comme with some type of shims?
Is the threading on all barrels standard?

Im i making sense?

a thread rotates as it goes up/down the helix. You change the starting engagement angle so when it bottoms out on the shoulder of your barrel, the orientation is correct (horizontal)
