Anyone have any idea how bad the muzzle climb would be on a non-braked 223 AR with a 14.5" barrel?
Meaning just a flash hider like a birdcage?
Don't know about 14.5" but thru a 10.5" and a 16", nothing worrisome at all. Maybe about half an inch or less?
Meaning there's nothing on it at all, just the barrel
No idea on an AR but on a bolt action .223, about 1/4 inch jump off a sandbag?
Why no flashhider or brake? Would look weird on an AR.
Apparently you guys haven't shot a gun with a muzzle brake on it. The difference is night and day. One of the best purchases for a rifle of 223 type.
Highly recommended, if you're into double tapping, etc. You'll never go back.
Hope its not a cut down longer barrel. 14.5" unthreaded is an odd one. Not a US "ban" vintage, being 14.5".
Unless you are wanting to shoot rapidly, there is no issue.
If you want to get it threaded, remove the barrel, and mail it to a 'smith.
^^ It pays to read an entire post before unlike peanut gallery up there
