Muzzle Covers

cheap Kids balloons from the $ stores work just as well

This is what my family and freinds use. Get the small baloons for 99cents for 30 or something, last ya all season since you can reuse them. No more messing with elastics or cutting fingers or whatever you just thrower on.

We tried to chrony a 7mm one day to see what the effects of electrical tape would be - first shot was straight through the digital display, no reading, in fact never to worky again. I have since blown lots of tape off the end of hunting rifles, in the field and a few at the range, no idea what happened that day, have never seen ill effects since.

Balloons, condoms and lots of tape

I like the party balloons idea, kind of festive.

All these great tips about keeping rain and snow out of the muzzle, what about carrying with muzzle pointed down?

I usually have a large green garbage bag stuffed in a pocket to pull over the rifle if things get really soggy, keeps rain out of the works, mostly.
