Hello all,
Working on assembling my first-ever AR-15, a 10.5" "light-and-handy" sorta deal.
Haven't decided what the most practical item to put on the muzzle would be yet. Hoping to glean some knowledge from the rest of you.
Not sure if a brake makes much sense for a .223 rifle, or if the reduction in rise/recoil is worth annoying every single person on the indoor range. A blast mitigator like the Noveske Flaming Pig seems like it might be practical, but that one in particular is really heavy, and I'm trying to keep this thing lightweight.
I'm not free-floating the handguard, using a Magpul MOE handguard and an A2 front sight post instead. So the dimensions of the muzzle device aren't a big deal.
