Hey everyone! Trying to decide on a muzzle device for my 10.5 inch AR and haven't been able to get any reviews or comments on most of the offerings in Canada. Some great options on Brownells but apparently brakes/compensators are considered SME and can't leave the USA.

So far I'm looking at the Dlask A6 for $65 and the NEA Crusader Brake for $60. There is also NEA Hybrid, but I'm not too keen on the profile and looks of that one but if it performs great its obviously an option. The NEA Pheonix is a nice looking option too but I believe it is a flash suppressor and I am looking to get something to help with follow up shots.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

My favorite break was the YHM Phantom 5M1 comp that I got from Cactus Tactical, It kept my AR steady... Cactus Tactical ships to Canada.... After trying the Alberta tactical Eliminator Break I sold it.... But If I ever build another AR I will use the 5M1 again...

It looks like they changed their shipping policies recently becuase it shows as a restricted item on their webpage. All brakes/comps/ do unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though, it looked great and was cheap too!

dlask sells the xb2 for under 100 - which some people say is a clone of the noveske pig.

PWS FSC556 clone by Dlask, $65 (i think), worth $150.
Its really loud, but does the job, and does it very well!

Clone? Or illegal knockoff of a patented design? There is a very good reason why Dlask no longer produces this item... ;) But yes, the PWS design is very effective and the real deal can be purchased from Questar for about $120.

Although that said, I have seen some very impressive video of the PWS Triad and hope to try one out soon.

In all fairness to the ATRS Eliminator, it is a flash suppressor and is not really designed to act as a muzzle brake. Any braking action, however minor, is purely coincidental, not specifically by design. Most likely due to the weight of the unit...

JP Enterprise Tactical Compensator (Muzzle Brake)
I put this on my XCR-L 5.56mmNATO/.223 and it works extremely well! its over $100, and I bought mine at CRAFM for around $120 I think..It is very loud and you can see some flame coming out of the ports! I have not tried any of the PWS but I will one day to compare.

I would also like to try the BattleComp!

Spikes Tactical has a new muzzle brake called the Dyna Comp which sells for about $90 in the States and is apparently equal to the Battle Comp when it comes to reducing muzzle climb. I would have bought one of these if I could find one.

O'rly?
And what is that very good reason Dlask no longer
produces this item?
As for patented design, do you care to post the patent number?
