Muzzle energy 4759 ft lb 3.5" slugs?

Nice, looks like its built on an American made action not sure about the cost to build a rifle like this?

I would call Ralph and ask. It was under 10K if I recall. I spoke to Ralph this morning about a gun he is customizing for me. I mentioned he might get a call on reproducing a gun like this.

If you do, I will make myself available for sighting it in with the express sights. This gun did take a Cape Buffalo at 120m. My sight in at 100m was a mickey mouse :) when sighting in for Ralph, I shoot and he files and finalizes the sights. Works quite well. I take eaqual shots left handed and right handed to negate eye differences and trigger layover.
Tough to be disciplined enough with a 585. 12 shots are punishing.

Thanks Got Juice for your info.

I sure will look into that but just got back from an out of Province hunting trip and still recovering from the spending lol.

How was the recoil on the 585 compares to a 375 or 458?

Oooooh.

When you said "six from each side" I assumed you were talking about a double rifle. But you meant shoulders lol. Gotcha.

Yes, and I was benched. Imagine full impulse slamming into you. It's not the pain that makes tou need to take a break between shots, it is the arrhythmia that happens to your heart when you pull the trigger. Being benched every oubce of push is transferred to your body. You will see stars in your eyes when bench firing. It is not for the faint of heart or wallet with each round costing 30-40.00 per roubd if tou run a lathe turned bronze solid.

12 shots. 3x3@100 then another 3x3 at 150. Another neat trivia piece is that you buise from the inside out. Took me 12 days before i could shoot again. Makes my 30-06 feel like a 5.56 ;).

And yes, I was properly attired with 20 lbs of powdered lead in a pansy pad slung over my shoulders.

On my last shot, I was so happy that Ralph was pleased with the geoups and sight adjustments. No way could I withstand another shot. And I am packing 265lbs into a 5'9 frame.

The 2 3/4", 12g, Lightfield Hybred EXP 565gr (1.25oz) are devastating on deer..
Would like to try the Commander Plus loads but need to preserve my dental work..

I load my scoped Mossberg 930 autoloader with Federal 12GA 3" 1-1/4" slugs. Groups as shown off-hand at 50 meters.

Meh...my 416 Rigby, 458 WM and 470 dole out around 5100 ft-lb of energy. I'm sure it wouldn't be overly pleasant, but you're shooting it out of an autoloader so it's less impressive due to the fact that the gun will soak up some of the recoil.
