I took the week off work to go ml hunting for deer.A buudy and myself hunted really hard all week.On the secong last day we invited another guy but in the morn my buddies truck broke down so he could'nt make it so now I'm hunting with the invited guest.I put him where buddy was to go and about a hr after sunup I hear what sounded like a 22 shot.It was his ml miss firing at what he said was the biggest buck he's every seen.We knew there was a big guy around and sure enough the new guy didn't get him that morn which ticked my buddy and myself off but were there for a good time all in all !!!.
The last day at about 730 am 3 does came accross the feild and straight infront of me at 30yds.I took 1 doe and the others ran out into the feild and looked at me while I was reloading in my tree stand.I could'nt find my primers and the 2 deer started walking into about 30 yrds in a dif direction.When I finally found the primers the deer were behind the tree stand and in thick enough woods all I could see was a flash here and there but no good shots watching for about 20 minutes.They finally left so I got down from my stand and over to the deer.I radioed buddy say ca-ching !!!.I was using a Wolf ml with 2 triple 7 powders and a 300 gr scorpian bullet.The bullet went right through touching one lung and down she went.The hole was bigger going in than coming out.This is the only time I've never recovered a bullet from a deer I've taken !!!
This is my first ml deer on the last day of the hunt !!!.We had a great time hunting and when your with a good friend or friends it makes all the more fun !!!.
