A thought for you small caliber enthusiasts- recently shot the squirrel trail with my wife and shared the same gun in .40 cal -after 16 shots started to coke up so after short starting the ball put a large amount of saliva down the barrel then rammed it down. Next load went in very easily did it again then no problem up to about the 34 th shot. Saliva again and completed the trail at 40 shots. Cleaning the gun after was easy and less dirt than usual. Two of the shots were over 80 yds and we bumped up the charge to 80 grns and that might have helped clean things.
