In my area we are experiencing our first winter snow. This is the time of year I’ve dreaded. It is the time that I promised myself that I would think of cleaning my choke tubes. I have not been really all that good, but the shooting gods have looked on me with favour. Today I picked up a parcel that I had ordered from Shootin’ Accessories, Ltd part of Shotgun Sports Magazine. I got this big honking brush they named Muzzle Monster. $24.95.
I was hoping, but not expecting very much but I tried it as soon as I got home. To make a long story short, in and out a few times, turning clockwise and plastic is gone. I cleaned 4 of my worst tubes in about 10 minutes. This is a tool that I could use after each time I shoot and always have plastic free tubes. I can hardly wait to try the other stuff I ordered from Shootin Accessories Ltd.

What kind of cleaner do you use with the Muzzle Monster to get rid of all that crap?

How did the rest of your order turn out?

I had some snap caps sent from Shootin Accessories that would not chamber in any gun.

That made me sort of skeptical in ordering from them again.

Anyways, I am subscribed to Shotgun Sports magazine. I have never had any problem with the subscription.

I used the muzzle monster dry. Some choke were a little more difficult but the oversized brush on mm just simply takes out the plastic. No problems with the rest of my order. The only problem that I have ever had is that they changed the plastic shell catcher that I usually buy. Thought they made an improvement but they did not.

Thanks for the tip CR. Cleaning chokes is truly one of the real pains in the a##! I'm going to get one. Sorry to hear about your experience with the snap caps Bluelynx. Just goes to show you that everybody can have an off day. I've had good luck ordering from them so far. Fred
