Was just wondering if anyone here knows about how much it costs to have a muzzlebrake put on a rifle ?? I've got to lessen the recoil on my Rem .270 as much as I can because of arthritic condition. So far I've put a limbsaver recoil pad on it, gone to a lighter weight bullet and less powder charge. Next step would be a muzzlebrake on my stainless. Any idea how much ??

Try some of Remington's "Managed Recoil" .270 loads -
about 2700 fps at the muzzle with a 115 grain bullet ... & generates less rercoil than a 243 ! Very effective on deer out to 200 yards.

You have a fellow not far from you in Texas (VAIS BRAKES) who has an excellent product and will be glad help you. Ron is a fine man whom I first met at gunsmithing school in 1966. http://www.muzzlebrakes.com
