Muzzleloader Freebore

In any black powder gun it is important to have the bullet seated tight to the powder charge. A jump to the rifling would be detrimental to accuracy at best and at worst might act like a seperated load or bore obstruction and cause pressure spikes. Black is a totally different beast than smokeless.

Some have an underbore cavity in the breach plug but most are rifled right to the plug.

Only other case that I can think of would be a paper cartridge Sharps and I've never used one myself so not sure what the chamber dimensions are.
