I was wondering if its possible to use some of the more modern black powder metalic cartridge guns during the "Muzzleloading/Shotgun" deer season in ontario

I severely doubt that. Cartridge rifles aren't loaded from the muzzle. The area would be inundated with guys armed with 45-70 and 45-90 Sharps replica's knocking deer over at 400+!!!. Even the inline boys would have kittens over that. The traditional patch & ball guys would just stroke out on the spot.

The regs say that you must use a gun that is loaded from the muzzle.

Another thing is are muzzle loading single shot handguns restricted because the hunting regs mention nothing that it has to be a rifle...

I am going to call mnr tommorow and ask about sharps rifles but I think I know the answer already

You have to use a rifle that is loaded from the muzzle and there is no handgun season which cover muzzleloading or antique handguns
