I'm considering a lathe....a buddy has a line on one for me (used) and we'll see how that pans out.
I have a Sherline, and while it's nice, and versatile, it's not powerful....making passes with the mill setup at .003-.005 thou on steel? Takes a heck of a long time to make stuff.
I'm eying a smithy 3-in-1 if the lathe idea doesn't pan out.
