If I'm correct, you took the spring/follower out of the ar mag, and put a ?? round mag in place. How did you secure the mag body to the original mag? looks very good. that fake can looks really good too.
Nice build! but how's it shoot?

Yessir you are correct on the mag,..

I will find out how she shoots this weekend :dancingbanana:

Is this fake can illegal? I was under the impression that adding something like that made it prohib? I just got my M&P 15-22 and would be very interested in adding something like this.

How did you get the top rail on the handguard to sit flush with the rail on the receiver??
This is key for me to mount iron sights, but I don't like the Ruger rail on the stock handguard...

I just got real lucky with the top rail, I attached the riser to the handgaurd and after I trimmed the riser to size it fit like a glove to give that full top rail look.

Looks very good. Did you have to modify your rail riser at all? Is your barrel supported or free-floating?

Thanks

coldupnorth
I had to cut the raiser down about 2 1/2 inches for it to fit, The barrel is fully free floating..

happy shootin boys

Ok, so just to confirm, that is a raiser on top of the top rail of a quadrail handguard?
May I ask the type of hanguard and raiser, and prices?
I like that setup a lot more than the ruger top rail...

• M4 knight quad hand guard $60 Ebay
• Yankee Hill 11.25 rail risers $? Fabsports

I like that setup a lot more than the ruger top rail...The top rail is still there its part of the Nordic Stock[/QUOTE]

Did you just rim the edges of the mag and sit the ruger mag on top with the glue (scotch weld) ?

Yes, I filled the bottom of the ten round mag with scotch weld, then put a little on the AR mag. I let the parts sit for 5-10 minutes apart, after that I put them together with a little masking tape. I let it sit for 24 hours sitting upside down so the AR mag was on the top. Make sure you fit it together before you scotch it just to be sure..\

volia, your done...It get alot of looks at the range but it is only a 10 rounder so its more just for looks.

good luck...
