PAGE 2 HAS THE NEW UPDATED INFO AND PICS

Heres my venture into the 10/22 realm. 10/22 all weather carbine mounted in a butler creek folder with a Walther top point red dot sight. Eagle 30 round mag right now, but only until the BC steel lips arrives. Inside shes got a yellow jacket bolt buffer, yellow jacked tuned extractor, polished trigger group parts, the sear has been lightened and the bolt release is modified to an auto release (just pull back and let go).

The BC folder is nice and solid both closed and open. Im not very fond of the Eagle 30 round mag, it fits loose and rattles around. It's only about 5 months old and its developing cracks allready and dosnt feed well. Im expecting better luck with the BC steel lips.

why does anyone buy any other mag than the tactical INC mags,

friggin Aluminum or Composite ones are built like freaking tanks.
composite ones are good prices too. i can understand not wanting toi buy the aluminum ones as they are pretty damn expensive (i like em tho)

Cheers
Rob

My BC steel lips work really great and cost about a quarter as much.

Not really.. when you buy 3 or more they are 33 bucks a piece for the composite ones "in my mind better as they wont dent and paint eventually wear off"

They are a jazillion times stronger "a heavy duty pickup truck drove over one with the mag arched with it's front tire sitting on it"

Plus they can be taken apart to be cleaned, will never wear out or crack.

Uh ya, I thank the one person who started the thread on these mags because I never knew about em and was about to order two 25rnd steel lips mags and buy one from a guy on here, glad I didnt :D

What is the OAL of it when folded? I bought that stock only blued about 10 years ago and just happened to measure the length of my gun with it on and I am 3/4" too short to meet the 26" OAL rule. I have the deleuxe sporter model.

Man I realy want to put that stock back on...Looks great

Ok so I got bored and spiced things up. Took off the folder and the red dot sight(Im selling them for $$ toward another 1911). Removed all the powder coat finish from the reciever, trigger housing and parts, and the barrel band. Sanded it all down and then polished it with a buffing wheel to give it that high polish. Used the lathe and turned a fancy little aluminum cylinder and mounted it inside the mag button to make my own extended mag release. Made my own adjustable sear using the factory one. Power custom spring kit on the way and after I install it I'll probably stone the sear and hammer some more. Stuffed it all back in the Ruger stock. Pictures arent great, sorry I dont have a good camera at the moment.
